Anita Roddick
In February 2007, the founder of cosmetics store chain The Body Shop revealed her hepatitis C diagnosis, which she believes she contracted from a blood transfusion after the birth of her daughter in 1971. In 2004, she discovered she had the virus and cirrhosis of the liver. Roddick died at 64 of a brain hemorrhage eight months after disclosing her HCV.
