Life Ball—organized by LIFE+, an independent nonprofit organization based in Vienna, Austria—celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2018. The annual HIV/AIDS fundraiser will take place on Saturday, June 2.

The first prominent congratulators have been confirmed: Paris Jackson, Charlize Theron and Dame Shirley Bassey. Many other celebrities from the worlds of fashion, entertainment and politics will join them.

Actress, model and activist Paris Jackson, daughter of the late pop star Michael Jackson, will be representing her godmother’s namesake charity, The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

She will also receive this year’s LIFE+ Award along with Joyce Jere, the Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance (GAIA) country director in Malawi, on behalf of the GAIA Elizabeth Taylor Mobile Clinics.

Oscar and Golden Globe winner Charlize Theron will be representing her organization, the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project. This will be her second time at Life Ball.

Dame Shirley Bassey will be representing amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research. Known for her James Bond title songs, the singer continues to contribute her voice to international hits.

Held every year at Vienna’s City Hall, Life Ball has become one of the world’s most important AIDS charity events. Proceeds of this benefit go to global aid projects, in collaboration with international partners.

This year’s leitmotif (recurring theme) will be an homage to the 1965 musical film The Sound of Music, which was shot on location in Vienna. Tickets to the event are now available. Go to LifeBall.org for more information.
